MemoirS, sCHOOL of Software Eng December 29, 2006 2:00 pm

It’s only 3rd week of lectures, or to be exact the 2nd week of lectures coz the 1st week was merely the searching class, adding class, dropping class period and some introduction here and there. Within this short duration of time, we have already been given projects and assignments..Uhuh..!! it’s getting harder, busier and tougher as you step into another new semester. Not only that, and besides presentations we are also going to have a mock interview in which as a finale result you are going to be hired, to be KIV or to be rejected, uhuh sounds scary aite.. and during this semester as well we need to apply for our industrial training placement which will be on next semester. This semester is also  where lots of deadlines waiting one after another. Everyday, every moment you keep on thinking, what I’m going to do next, what shoud I do first…hoho…really test me on my time management. These are only the studying part, not including yet my social and society part.

Deviating for a while~
Something to be shared:

Dicipline
           Integrity
                       Dedication
Yes these are the pricipals of a person who has been the 1st youngest CEO in Malaysia. He said we must exceed the expectation. Always trying hard and work smart. Timing is very important. Strive to achieve our mission. He also stressed on getting the first class honors for the undergraduate students. First class honors is the most valuable status, achievement that you can proud of and people will always respect the first class honors holder, be it when you are applying a job, when you are working in a place or giving a talk or anything you do..well these are what he said, I think it’s true.. Wish I am one of the first class honors holder! by God Willings!

End of deviating~

Salam everyone!

Outlandish -Look Into My Eyes-

Look into my eyes
Tell me what ya see
U don’t see a damn thing
Cuz u can’t relate to me

U blinded by our differences
My life makes no sense to u
I’m the persecuted one
U the red, white and blue

Each day u wake in tranquility
No fears to cross your eyes
Each day I wake in gratitude
Thankin’ God He let me rise

Ya worry ’bout your education
And the bills u have to pay
I worry ’bout my vulnerable life
And if I’ll survive another day

Ya biggest fear is getting a ticket
As ya cruise your Cadillac
My fear is that the tank that’s just left
Will turn around and come back

Yet do u know the truth of where ya money goes
Do u let the media deceive your mind
Is this a truth that nobody knows
Has our world gone all blind
Yet do u know the truth of where ya money goes
Do u let the media deceive your mind
Is this a truth that nobody knows
Some one tell me

Oh let’s not cry tonight
I promise you one day it’s through
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

Oh shine a light for every soul
That ain’t with us no more
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

See I’ve known terror for quite some times
57 years so cruel
Terror breathes the air I breathe
It’s the check point on my way to school

Terror is the robbery of my land
And the torture of my mother
The imprisonment of my innocent father
The bullet in my baby brother

The bulldozers and the tanks
The gasses and the guns
The bombs that fall outside my door
All due to your funds

You blame me for defending myself
Against the ways of my enemies
I’m terrorized in my own land
And I’m the terrorist

Yet do u know the truth of where ya money goes
Do u let the media deceive your mind
Is this a truth that nobody knows
Has our world gone all blind
Yet do u know the truth of where ya money goes
Do u let the media deceive your mind
Is this a truth that nobody knows
Some one tell me

Oh let’s not cry tonight
I promise you one day it’s through
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

Oh shine a light for every soul
That ain’t with us no more
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

American do ya realize
That the taxes that u pay
Feed the forces that traumatize
My every living day

So if I won’t be here tomorrow
It’s written in my fate
May the future bring a brighter day
The end of our wait

Oh let’s not cry tonight
I promise you one day it’s through
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

Oh shine a light for every soul
That ain’t with us no more
Ohohoh my brothers
Ohohoh my sisters

Yes as the group name goes, I am still unfamiliar with Outlandish, I’ve no idea who are they, but I was attracted with their beautiful, great song, Look Into My Eyes. I did try to find out some facts and kind of history about this particular group, and these are what I got:

  • A group with hip hop base that collaborating with Sami Yusuf  in the album of "My Ummah".
  • The above lyrics are based on a poem by Gihad Ali expressing the plight of those suffering from America’s foreign policy with regards to Israel and Palestine.
  • They are 3 singers and 2 of them are Muslims and 1 is Catholic.

Well correct me if I’m wrong. It’s just a piece of info that I got from Internet. emoticon

When actually we take a second
and have a look back to the things that we have done in our life,
to look back to the things that were happening around us,
or probably we will just wait until things go haywire, out of our control.

Everyday, every chapter in our life…
actually Allah has planned for us.. we have to enjoy living in this world created by Allah happily n wisely..
Don’t feel bad and don’t feel regret for whatever is happening..
Everything is well planned by Allah!
We plan, Allah also plan..
yet Allah’s plan is the best one coz
He is The Best Planner ever!
Yes sometimes the path we taken may seem unclear…
but the truth is that one day we will see that whatever came before
was actually truly meant to us..
it’s just a matter of how are we going to face it,
how are we going to handle it,
and how are we going to appreciate it!

on the way back from class, yesterday..
a driver taxi throwing out a crumple of plastic without even feeling guilty, yes i’m sure it’s the driver coz no passenger in his taxi i can see..oh my god! emoticon where’s his self conscious, where’s his civic minded? where has he put all that values? at his knee?

well this is not my first time seeing this unethical, irresponsible, bad attitude in malaysia… it happens many times, almost at every places… just imagine if malaysians have this kind of terrible attitude, how can we achieve a title of ‘first country’ emoticon. Our technology and development has already towards the ‘first country’ criteria, however the attitude of most malaysian are beyond it and still far away, which I can categorized it still under ‘third country’, please do not ever say that you are civilised..or you are hoping and dreaming our beloved malaysia to be a ‘first country’..unless you’ve look at yourself, are you the one who are going to throw your chewing gum or sweet wrappers or tissue or ciggaretes in the dustbin? If you answer no and rarely do that..then just forget to have a country like Japan, or any western country..why? because to do that simple thing also you can’t then how will you be punctual, polite to the older people and respect the disable people, give your seat to them, queuing up whenever to buy or ride something, give way to the pedestrian or people who wanna cross the road, having clean public toilet and many more…the list will go on..

i would like to share some stories here…
this ’s hapenned when i was in japan, a lady brought along her dog walking at the park..then as usual…dog or any pet would do this..defecating on the street..yes..discharging something ehem..hihi.. but to my surprise this lady picked up all those ehem thingy and put it in the plastic bag.. can u see it how people really care and concern about the park, as well as the other visitors.. as to compared here in Malaysia… huh.. rarely happens or never ever happened..

Another story, about malaysian attitude again… sweet wrappers on the floor especially in theatre room and classrooms where most of the time people that occupied the room are students!… why those people who got brain are too lazy to throw it into a dustbin, instead they throw it on the floor…I’ve seen this many times as well..when being asked, they said they pay the cleaner, they pay the room… ahha it reminds me on what my lecturer said this morning that a cleaner is not an animal. The analogue is like this, usually here in Malaysia when people eat at the restaurant they will throw the left over foods on the floor so that the cat can eat it…think about it.  Yes we pay the room, we have cleaner but is that too hard or too dirty to throw it on your own? That’s why there are too many cleaners in Malaysia, nearly 24 hours they have to work. Unlike in Japan, where in one building, there are only like 2-3 cleaners or in some places less..in which they only do their job in the morning. Their people have make the cleaners’ job easier in the sense of not littering around, separating the plastic, paper, glass, bottle and etc… Well again I’m wondering, here in malaysia, if we already separate the things that can be recycle such as bottles in one bag, glasses in one bag, papers in one bag..unfortunately when the garbage-picker come, they would just un-pack it and combine it with other rubbish in the lorry..so who’s in the wrong side now? We? or the system? We try to do our part, but seemed like it does not work at all. So no use of separating it ..aite? How about the ads in TV that ask us to do the recycle thing?

well to list out stories about bad attitudes of malaysian..they are too many… having said all that I hope that my generations and the younger generations  will change and make malaysia to be a first country to be reality! Yes we can! MALAYSIA BOLEH! We have to change! how i wish to have a public transport like buses and trains to be as punctual and arrive on the dot as in Japan! Always wondering how they manage to that. Probably we have to start from the root, the individual one, to have the self-conscious first, then only we can move to the next step, aite..
